This marks the first time that Ewals Cargo Care (ECC), a logistics company founded in 1906, has adopted electric lorry mobility on the road. Hylane’s flexible rental model is ideally tailored to ECC’s requirements. “Our aim is to make the use of zero-emission commercial vehicles as simple, flexible and predictable as possible for our customers,” says Till Homrighausen, Director of International Key Account Management at hylane. “We are proud to now count one of Europe’s leading logistics service providers among our customers and look forward to a successful partnership, even beyond this project.”
Hylane provides Ewals Cargo Care with easy access to a zero-emission lorry, with no investment risk for the customer but with transparent running costs. The company provides the lorry, including on-site driver training, vehicle registration, maintenance and repairs, insurance, taxes, tyre service, and return. Access to charging infrastructure and competitive energy costs are also part of the all-inclusive solution. Under a multi-year lease agreement, ECC pays only for the kilometres actually driven.
E-mobility is part of a smart mix
“We are delighted to be ushering in the future of electric mobility with MAN,” says Joep Everts, Director of Trucking at ECC. “We are keen to see how the vehicle performs in day-to-day operations and how it can be integrated into our network and our sustainability strategy.” For Ewals Cargo Care, the smart mix of transport modes and technologies is one of the most important factors to reduce CO₂ emissions. It is not about having just one solution, but about finding the right solution for every situation. The flexibility and reliability required for this can be found in the partnership with hylane.
